Chanakhi is stewed lamb with vegetables in a clay pot. The composition of the chanakhi includes – potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant and onions and meat. This option is adapted for multicooker. If desired, mutton can be replaced with pork. The dish of Georgian cuisine.
Ingredients:
- 500 g of meat
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 400 g of potatoes
- 1 small eggplant
- 1 sweet Bulgarian pepper
- 4 cloves garlic
- 25g of butter
- salt, pepper to taste
- chopped herbs (parsley, dill, basil, coriander)
How to cook chanakhi?
Cut the meat in large pieces, salt, pour the favorite seasoning and put it in the multicooker.
Make a cut on the tomatoes criss-cross, water with boiling water and peel.
1 cut the tomato and add to the meat, the other two cut and set aside. Close the cover and put the “Quenching” mode for 1 hour.
Prepare the filling for the eggplant. Greens and garlic finely chopped, put into a bowl, add finely chopped onion, salt, pepper, spices (any for meat), butter slices. Mix.
Cut the eggplant into 2 pieces across, and then cut the half along, but not to the end. In each incision to enclose the filling (how many will be).
We cut onions with straw, and pepper in large pieces.
After the meat is cooked for about an hour, add the vegetables in layers. First potatoes, cut into large pieces.
Then onions, stuffing for eggplant, pepper.
The last lay out the eggplant and the remaining tomatoes, cut into 4 parts. Salt, pepper to taste. Again, turn on the “Quenching” mode for an hour.
After an hour, if there is a lot of liquid, you can turn on the “Baking” mode and leave the multicooker cover open. 20 minutes will suffice, that the liquid has a little boiled. If you are satisfied that the chanakhi will be liquid, then “Baking” cannot include
When ready, mix everything in a saucepan and sprinkle abundantly with different greens. Chanakhi is ready.
