Satsebeli Sauce – Georgian Tomato and Walnut Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g fresh tomatoes
  • 100 g walnuts
  • 1 pcs onion
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp adjika
  • salt to taste
  • hot pepper to taste
  • sugar if needed
  • vinegar 2–3 drops, optional

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Grind fresh tomatoes, walnuts, and onion in a blender until smooth.
  2. Finely chop the cilantro and add it to the mixture.
  3. Add finely chopped garlic, adjika, salt, and hot pepper.
  4. Mix the sauce carefully until fully combined.
  5. (Optional) Add 2–3 drops of vinegar for enhanced flavor.
  6. (Optional) If the sauce tastes sour, balance it with a small amount of sugar.
  7. Serve satsebeli with your favorite dishes!
